Throughout my training I have worked with the NHS mental health service, talking change. For the last five years I have been working with Solent Mind as a senior wellbeing advisor. Where, as well as seeing clients on a one to one basis, I also facilitate groups for OCD and wellbeing.

I have lived experience of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) which has driven my passion to support others on their recovery journeys and to ensure that my services are affordable, accessible and meaningful.

What is CBT / REBT

Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) is a structured, guided & goal orientated, evidence-based model of Cognitive Behaviour therapy (CBT), which is supported by clinical research.

Pioneered by Albert Ellis, REBT looks at the person as a whole rather than just a diagnosis. Teaching a universal model, REBT can be successfully applied to a wide range of different emotional issues. It offers the person a structure and philosophy that allows them to make effective and long lasting emotional and behavioural change.

REBT is a humanistic approach that looks at unhealthy and healthy emotions, beliefs and actions. This then helps the person to see the unhealthy negative beliefs they are holding which are provoking negative emotions. The person is then able to work on changing these unhealthy beliefs, emotions and behaviours for their healthier counterparts.

During therapy we will look at the problem and uncover the emotions and unhealthy beliefs that are keeping you stuck. I will take you through a structured, goal orientated process, providing you with the tools to maintain your own wellbeing in the future.
